Celebrating Fun and Community at Our Annual Dance Showcase!

Earlier this month, we were thrilled to host our much-anticipated annual Dance Showcase at Fishburn Community Centre – and what an unforgettable day it was! The event brought together dancers of all ages and abilities in a joyful celebration of movement, creativity, and community spirit.

The showcase featured over 30 children from three of our N-Dance groups, each bursting with energy and enthusiasm. Their performances lit up the stage and filled the room with applause, pride, and a few happy tears! From high-energy group routines to expressive contemporary pieces, it was a pleasure to witness how much each dancer has grown confidence over the past year.

We were also incredibly proud to welcome back the amazing adults from Ethicare, an organisation supporting adults with learning disabilities, with who we’ve had the honour of working with for many years. Their performance was a truly heartwarming highlight of the day. Their presence is always a reminder of why inclusive dance opportunities are so important and impactful.

These annual showcases are one of the highlights of our calendar at Nuvo Wellbeing. They give our participants the opportunity to shine in front of friends, family, and community members, and for us as a team, it’s a chance to celebrate everything that makes our programmes so special – creativity, and connection.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to our funders, whose ongoing support makes these sessions and events possible. Your commitment allows us to continue delivering accessible, inclusive, and high-quality dance opportunities to children, young people, and adults across the region. Without this support, these moments of celebration and achievement simply wouldn’t be possible.

Finally, thank you to everyone who came along to support our dancers – your cheers, smiles, and encouragement meant the world to them and to us. Whether you’ve been involved with Nuvo for years or were attending for the first time, we hope you felt the same warmth, energy, and sense of community that we work hard to create every day.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s showcase – but until then, we’ll keep dancing, creating, and celebrating movement with all of our amazing groups.
